It's raining. A lot.
More so than usual. I guess I should feel lucky. Matt @ North Shore Bike Shop says the Shore is buried in snow right now.
Even still, mental motivation is nearly totally lacking at this point, but my legs need some action. What to do?
Fortunately, Saturday dropped 10 people at my doorstep ready to ride. With a crew this big, it's gotta be fun!
With the rain and warmer (40F) temperatures, the snow level rose higher than expected. I think I had everyone fearing for the worst, but it was actually really good.
The rain came as a fine sideways mist, so we didn't get soaked.
Keeping mud out of the eyes is another story.
Overall, a great day in the so-called off season. It's been raining for 3 months, so we're forced to do whatever it takes to get the fix!
The benefit of being a pessimist is that you're never disappointed. I'm really not a pessimist, just a victim to the winter blues. Although I had relatively low expectations for the ride, the adventurous spirit prevailed when all my buddies showed up for the ride as enthusiastic as a summer day at Whistler.
Sometimes you never know what you're gonna get, and that's what keeps us going here in the rainy pacific northwest.

B-Rad, You said it perfectly, a good ride with a great group of bros. I'm glad we could "twist" your arm to go. See you Saturday for the video bonanza. Trevin.
Ive never known ANY type of weather slowing Brad down when it comes to riding. Ive been in freezing, so hot your tires are melting off and rain so thick you think your inside of a waterfall conditions riding with him and it always made for a great time when he was there for the adventure. BBA
